First Cover!
Magazine: King Snow Issue 10.2
Athlete: Chris Rasman
Last season I spent a few days shooting with the ManBoys in early February. We had good snow for a bit, but on the third day we went to a zone and the snow had been wind scoured. We made the call to head back home checking a few spots on the way. We came upon this ridge and they decided to at least take a fun run. That turned into a full session slashing this wind lip and airing out of it. Before the face was fully tracked I lined up this specific slash with Chris. He came mobbing in and sent a spray of snow up into the light.
I was surprised last week with the cover from King Snow. As they say “This photo embodies speed and anticipation. This is fall, the moment before slashing into winter.” A goal of mine was to get a cover, and I am beyond stoked to land an image on page one!
